Welcome!
My name is Michael Kipp, I am professor for computer science at the University of Applied Sciences Augsburg, Germany. In the past, I have been heading a junior research group at the Cluster of Excellence "Multimodal Computing and Interaction", Saarbrücken, Germany, and was senior researcher at the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI). I studied computer science, mathematics and psychology at Saarland University and the University of Edinburgh.
In 2004-05 I did something completely different by working full-time as assistant director at the National Theatre Saarland, after having been part of a student theatre group as director and actor for several years. Apart from literature and drama I am quite interested in photography and design.
I live in Augsburg with my wife and two children.
